<p class="ql-align-justify">Kinabalu National Park, recently declared as The Kinabalu UNESCO Global Geopark, was established in 1964.&nbsp;Led by Prof. Corner, the expedition laid the foundation for this protected area, marking it as the first national park in Sabah, Malaysian Borneo. At its core is Mount Kinabalu (4,095.2 m), the highest peak between the Himalayas and New Guinea. The mountain's slopes harbor a diverse array of plant and animal species, particularly showcasing a hotspot of plant biodiversity with connections to the Himalayas, China, Australia, Malay Peninsula, and pan-tropical regions.</p>

<p class="ql-align-justify">Situated on the west coast of Sabah, Crocker Range Park spans approximately 75km in length and 15km in width, running along a northeast-southwest axis. It holds the distinction of being the largest terrestrial park in the state, covering an expansive area of 139,919 hectares, roughly double the size of Singapore. The main station, substations, and control posts are strategically positioned across the western side of Sabah: Main Station in Keningau, Gunung Alab Substation, Mahua Substation, Inobong Substation, Kimanis Substation, Ulu Membakut Substation, Melalap Substation, Malunggung Control Post, Ulu Senagang Substation, Kikiran Control Post, and Buayan Substation. </p>

Spanning 27,972 hectares, it's the origin of 7 major rivers, with the Tawau River forming deepwater pools and waterfalls, including Table Waterfall. The park is surrounded by oil palm, rubber, and cocoa plantations, with hilly terrain showcasing Gunung Magdalena (1310 meters) and Gunung Lucia (1201 meters). </p>

Tunku Abdul Rahman Park - Entrance Fees and Rates 

<p class="ql-align-justify">Tunku Abdul Rahman Park, located 3 kilometers offshore from Kota Kinabalu in Gaya Bay, is Sabah's second national park, gazetted in 1974. Spanning 50 sq kilometers, it includes five islands, their surrounding reefs, and sea. Named after Malaysia's first Prime Minister, Tunku Abdul Rahman, its primary goal is to safeguard the fauna, flora, and marine ecosystems. Geologically part of the Crocker Range, the islands were isolated due to rising sea levels after the last ice age. Symbolic of their history, the islands are named Pulau Gaya (big), Manukan (fish), Mamutik (for shell collection), Sapi (the sound of a mowing buffalo), and Sulug (commemorating the ancestry of the Sulu peoples of Sabah). Initially covering Gaya and Sapi, the Park expanded in 1979 to include Manukan, Sulug, and Mamutik.</p>

Tun Sakaran Marine Park - Conservation Fees and Rates 

<p class="ql-align-justify">Tun Sakaran Marine Park (TSMP) is located at the entrance to Darvel Bay, off the East coast of Sabah near Semporna. It's about a 45-minute speedboat ride from the town's jetty. Named after the then Head of State of Sabah, Tun Sakaran Dandai, it became Sabah’s seventh park in July 2004. As the largest Marine Park, it spans 340 sq kilometers of sea and coral reefs, along with 10 sq kilometers of land. The park comprises 8 islands, their surrounding reefs, and sea, with the main goal of environmental protection and promoting sustainable use of natural resources. These islands include Pulau Bodgaya, Bohey Dulang, Tetagan, Selakan, Sebangkat, Maiga, Sibuan, and Mantabuan.</p>

Encompassing a vast marine expanse of 898,762.76 hectares across Kudat, Kota Marudu, and Pitas districts, TMP stands as Malaysia's largest multiuse marine protected area and one of the world's most diverse marine flora and fauna hotspots.</p>

<p>TMP's vision is clear: uphold the integrity of globally significant marine biodiversity, ensuring that the abundant marine resources thrive sustainably to support local communities.
