Overview
Visiting Tenom will no doubt brings you to the Murut Cultural Centre, also locally known as Pusat Kebudayaan Murut, located about 10 kilometers away from Tenom town. Murut Cultural Center is a museum and gallery that preserves and displays its cultural artifact, handicrafts, musical instruments, wood carvings and contemporary art works. The building designs are constructed mostly out of timber and woods complex of traditional Murut village architecture. In addition to the gallery showcasing dresses and relics, visitors are able to watch Traditional Murut dance performance to gain a deeper understanding about Sabah's heritage.
