No More Smoking On Mount Kinabalu Summit Trail

Sabah Parks has recently announced that a smoking ban will be enforced on the Mount Kinabalu summit trail, effective from 19 March 2023.

The ban applies to an altitude of 3272.7 M to - 4095.7 M, encompassing the area from Panalaban Base Camp to the mountain's peak. This area has been designated as a No Smoking Zone, and visitors will notice no smoking signage prominently displayed along the trail.

Sabah Parks will take strict action against individuals who violate the regulation. Hikers are advised to cooperate and refrain from smoking along the Mount Kinabalu summit trail.
